Chemical & Petrochemical Plants

Our multi-discipline Engineering team provides expertise in process, mechanical/piping, civil/structural, environmental, electrical, instrumentation and control systems design for petrochemical and chemical plants and site-wide systems serving multiple units.  We have performed numerous projects at production facilities for polyethylene, polypropylene, silicone, chlorine, lubricants, coatings, and many other industrial- and consumer-grade chemicals and petrochemicals.  A small sample of our project experience includes front-end and detailed design projects to convert existing tanks and piping to new chemical feeds, upgrade steam and other key process and utility streams, debottleneck and modify existing truck and rail loading/unloading processes, automate valves and instrumentation for reactors, and design new tanks, mixers, foundations, platforms, and motor control centers for brownfield unit and process expansions.

Along with providing multi-discipline Engineering services to clients in the Petrochemical and Chemical industries, Orbital has a long history of providing both Asset Integrity and Safety and Regulatory services, including structural inspections (bare steel and under fireproofing), material handling and conveyors system inspections, mechanical equipment inspections, piping and tank inspections, rail and truck loading/unloading inspections, arc flash studies, and fall protection inspections and design services.  Orbital can establish, manage, and maintain the structural inspection programs at your facilities across the United States.
