Compressor Stations
Orbital Engineering has extensive experience in both new greenfield and existing brownfield retro fit compressor station designs. Our multidiscipline expertise in compressor station design covers the development of comprehensive construction work package deliverables covering civil, structural, process, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation and control.
Orbital’s engineering and design team has designed numerous gas compressor stations with the extraction of natural gas from rock formations such as Marcellus utilizing fracking technology. The design of these stations utilizes the full complement of Orbital’s multi-discipline capabilities. Our civil team will provide site development support such as grading, drainage, interior and access road and security fencing. Our structural team will design the equipment foundations, access platforms and equipment and pipe support. Our mechanical engineers provide flow analysis calculations, write system specifications, develop P&ID’s, size pipe systems and provide project management services. Our piping designers develop routing, isometric, pipe spool piece drawings and bills of material.
