Marcellus Shale Mid-Stream Compressor And Glycol Dehydration Station – Detailed Engineering & Design
Orbital provided engineering and design services for the detailed design of a new 300 MMSCFD Compressor Station and Glycol Dehydration facility located in Green County, PA. Orbital’s design package included P&IDs, piping, electrical, I&C and civil/structural design. The compressor portion of the project involved the installation of three gas compressors (plus three future compressors), pig receiver/launcher, suction/discharge filter coalescers, vapor recovery unit, three tank system, vapor recovery towers, vapor destruction unit, flare, flare knock out vessel, sump pumps, plus various ESD (Emergency Shutdown) valves, control valves and flow meters. The glycol dehydration utilized two contactor towers, two 2 MMBtu/hr reboilers, flash separators, sock and charcoal filters, and enclosed ground flares. The facility included an air compressor building, two air storage tanks, electrical buildings (both MCC & PLC), metering equipment, plus associated piping, conduit/cable trays, equipment pads and foundations.
